Family visiting and To Catch a Predator??!!

My teenage nieces have left after a week long visit. We had a great time catching up and being Aunty and nieces again. It's hard not seeing them more regularly since I moved to the Seattle area, but I made it clear to them that I am the same Aunty that loves them dearly and they can always expect that from me. They are so grown up now (15 and 17) and we had fun fishing, tubing, shopping, sightseeing, and playing Guitar Hero together. They loved being out on the boat and I got them to do things they dont' have the chance to do in their home in the Midwest.

Crabbing? Who would have thought my younger niece would be so brave as to pick one up (with glove on) and crack it open on the hatchet? The older prissy niece even tried her hand at it! Tubing was a blast and they almost lost their shorts in the process, but what a fun time together. It just felt great having them here, hearing about their lives and being able to mother and spoil them without looks from my brother or his wife. Those girls are always welcome here and I miss them already.

So, as I got used to not having them around and settled back into my old routines, I found myself vegging out in front of the TV. To Catch a Predator came on at 10 last nite....that show always gets me so wound up. I sit there in disbelief that adult men, many of them successful and educated, have this idiotic and completely misplaced drive to stick their penis in virgin territory. How can that be understood? What would cause a man to become so obsessed with having sex with an underage girl (or boy) that he would jeapordize his livelihood, his family relationships, his career, and his freedom all to deflower a child?????? What the hell is so sexy about a CHILD'S BODY?????? They are underdeveloped, immature, still growing, vulnerable, hairless, and possess almost no knowledge about sex and making it a pleasurable experience.

I don't get it, and I never will. I have a degree in social work and have seen kids with the worst kinds of problems. Kids who come from the worst homes, full of violence, verbal abuse, extreme neglect, poverty, inept parents, and even sexual abuse. I have seen firsthand the damage that can be inflicted on these kids. Damage that lasts a lifetime. All from twisted adults incapable of being a proper parent, for a variety of reasons. Divorce, depression, past abuse from their own parents, no good parental role models, poverty, drugs, lack of education, mental disorders, crime, or just plain selfishness that causes them to ignore their responsibility as a parent. None of these reasons justify what they end up doing to their kids. These kids now have to struggle to determine what is right and wrong in life. From healthy relationships, to work ethics, to self esteem and drive. All of that gets screwed up when a parent twists the norm into something sick and sinister. These kids must now fight for normalcy and that's not right nor fair. It pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!

Why then, do men, and I do mean men because research shows it's mostly men who do these things, jeapordize everything they have to stick their dicks in a child??????!!!!! Is a person's sexual urge so powerful that they are incapable of controlling it??? I am so MAD about this!! If you look back through time, you see that wars were fought over this! Religions were formed because of this!! Countries were created for this!!!!! SEX! What a waste of effort and energy that could be used for the good of mankind! Things like, cures for disease, art that inspires, advancement of thinking that could solve the world's hunger problems or political conflicts!!! If one tenth of the energy used to get a piece of ass was directed towards peace and a better way of life, the world would be almost heaven like today!

There are so many religions that center around sex in one aspect or another. It is the prime element in so many religions that we aren't even conscious of them today. Take Catholicism for instance, nuns and priests forbidden from having sex in order to enhance their relationship with God???? What has that lead to??? SEX WITH CHILDREN! The Old Testament is full of rules about sex, when to have sex with a woman (8 days after her period ends), stoning for adultery, homosexuality an abomination, David and Bathsheba? God does not want men to be lead by their penis! And that is what has happened in all religions. Decisions made about life because they cannot keep their sexual urges under control. Look at the Quaran. What is promised to a martyr in that religion?? 49 virgins! WHY IS THAT SO IMPORTANT????? Because it has to do with what a man can do to pleasure his penis!!!!!!

The Quaran, as well as the Holy Bible, is filled with ways of controlling and dominating women. I think it's about time women were elevated to the stature they so deserve. Men have spent the history of the world trying to dominate and overpower the value of women. Women are the core of life on earth. Did you hear what I said? The CORE of life on earth. That is a very powerful ability to have. Carrying life and nurturing growth of the very ones who will rule the earth in the future, forwarding the legacy of all beings. HOW IS THAT NOT IMPORTANT??? How can men carry on denying that power as a necessary and highly valuable asset to the human race?????

I have gone off on my soapbox and strayed from my initial disgust with men who seek little girls and boys to destroy with their penis. I say every single one of them needs to be locked away for good. Once a man has taken the step of acting on his fantasy with a child, he is lost forever. There is a sexual predator in my state who will be moving to within a couple of miles of my home because the state can no longer meet his health needs. I have to now teach my 7 yr old daughter how to protect herself from a potential predator who can't control his urge to rape little girls. A 10 year old girl was abducted July 4th by a man who raped his live in girlfriend's 11 year old daughter for YEARS, served 9 years, and took this 10 year old and possibly others, raped her and killed her. This man does not deserve to live. May he rot in hell for all eternity.

I am done trying to make sense of it all. God does not condone this. He never has. God is lowering his head over the shame of these men's actions and wants women to receive the honor and respect they DESERVE in this world. I have claimed that for my life. I KNOW the value my abilities have. I have no guilt about being a stay at home mom and relish in the nurturing ability I have to raise my children with the highest standards of respect and love so that they can be honorable adults who live productive and valuable lives. I beseech all women to reclaim what has been theirs all along. Reject the domination of men who wish to control you and diminish your value. Demand nothing less than respect and honor from men. In turn, you honor them for their physical strength that protects you and their ability to provide for you and your children. It's all necessary for a good life. Demand true and swift justice for all who violate the meekest among us. It is not acceptable, ever, to destroy a child's future. Their future is directly connected to ours. Nurture it, support it, encourage it....NEVER EVER ATTACK IT!
